COLLINS, Ron – peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday June 29, 2010 in his 80th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Jessie. Survived by his children Terry (Betty Anne), Debbie Meuro of London, Ronnie (Darlene) and Darleen (Henry) Buott. Ron will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rhoda passed away peacefully 8 June 2010, at Stanford Place Care Campus, Parksville BC. She is survived by her daughter Judith (Jon) Graham of Parksville, grandchildren Dan (Ann) Taylor of Peterborough, Robert (Catherine) Taylor of Kitchener, Reg (Susan) Bithrey of Thunder Bay, Christopher (Julie) McLauchlin of Victoria BC, and niece Brenda (Tom) Wright of Thunder Bay. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1986, daughter Sandra in 1999 of Millbrook, brothers Walter, Reg, and sister Violet. Rhoda left family and friends in Ontario when she moved to British Columbia in 1999, where she resided in Parksville for the next 11 years. She will be laid to rest in Millbrook next to her husband and daughter. There will a graveside memorial in Millbrook 6 August 2010 at 11 a.m. Friends are welcome to pay their respects. Nana will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and her great- grand children.

ERREY, Edith (nee: Allen) peacefully at home on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in her 90th year.
Wife of the late Arthur “Buster” Errey (1994); loving mother of Nancy (Ted) Hodgkinson of Cavan, and Allan (Marilyn) Errey, Snohomish, Washington; cherished Grandmother of Laura (Tony) Buell, and Paul (Jen) Hodgkinson; treasured “GG” (Great Grandmother) of Sarah, Marie-Claire, Danielle, Gabriel and Benny Buell, and Jack and William Hodgkinson; sister of Jack (Jean) Allen. Predeceased by parents Robert and Ann (Salt)Allen, as well as brothers Bob, Ted and Frank ,and sisters Thirza, Nancy and Helen.
Edith, a faithful follower of Jesus, was a lifetime member of both the Chancel Guild and the ACW of St. James Anglican Church in Wallaceburg before she moved to Peterborough and became a much loved member of St. John’s Anglican Church, in Ida. There she was an earnest prayer warrior for the needs and concerns of many.
Edith was renowned for her pies and for gathering family and friends together for rousing games. Her devotion to her family never wavered, and we are all richer for the example she set.

WINSLOW, Grace Helen (nee: Gillis) - suddenly but peacefully after a brief battle with
Cancer on Saturday May 1, 2010 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Joy. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Clare Winslow (2001). Wonderful mother to Donald (Margaret), Paul (Ellenor) and Philip (Penny). Cherished grandma to Colin, Alison (Joe), Emily (Norm), Allen (Sarah), Ryan (Jennifer), David (Aya), Jeff (Jodie), Heather (John) and Jonathan (Angela). Great grandma to Alison “Rocker”, Molly, Brennan, Noemie, Alec, Olivia, Grace, Jack and Susannah. Sister of Morris and the late Ron. Grace grew up on her parents farm in Manvers, attended Bible College in Toronto in the late 1930’s, and spent 45 years living on the Woodleigh Farm in Cavan before moving to Bethany and later 306 Hwy 7A. Grace was a loyal member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Ida, active as a Sunday School Teacher, A.C.W. member, Chancel Guild member, Church Treasurer, and also a member of the Millbrook Agricultural Society. Grace was patient and kind, trusting in the Lord in all things especially in these last few days when He called her quickly home to Him. When given a choice she would always prefer humility over pride, picnics over banquets, home over travel and family over fortune. Grace was a most appropriate name. Her family gives thanks to God for her life.

BANKS, Joyce (nee: Brothers) – December 21, 1927 – April 12 2010 . Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease at Hillsdale Terraces, Oshawa in her 83rd year. Joyce was lovingly surrounded by her family including George, her husband of 59 years. Loving mother of her two sons, Brian James (Catherine) and Geoffrey. Dear grandmother of Jessica, Caitlyn and Tyler. Survived by her brother Kenneth and his wife Norma. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Joyce taught school for 42 years. 19 years Elementary in the Province of Quebec and 23 years in Ontario with the Scarborough and Durham Board of Education. Joyce received B.A. and B.E. Degrees from York University and attended Teachers Training College in Brighton England and emigrated to Canada in 1947 when she became a Canadian Citizen.
