Cremation Costs, Beware

We have all seen many advertisers for various products offering services and merchandice for great prices.  This is also true when it comes to funeral services and products.  Many firms are offering services designed to look low cost on the surface but in fact do not include all of the costs involved.  Word of advise: - When investigating and comparing prices for funeral services first and foremost make sure you are dealing with a funeral director you feel comfortable with.  Also make sure the quote you are being given icludes all the costs.  Make certain all the costs are included and that any additional fees are disclosed to you.  There are 3 components to a funeral services contract

1) Funeral Home Costs - Services

2) Merchandise - ie: casket, urn, vault, rental items

3) Disbursements - these are items that are outside the funeral home fee's and services such as newspaper notices, catering, clergy, flowers etc.

It is important that you know all of the costs involved so that your quote does not end up double or more what you thought it would be.  Do not be afraid to ask questions, be informed!!
